We are All In: putting equality at the heart of politics

Imagine a world that puts equality at the centre of all that we do.

Where women and all marginalised communities enjoy equal rights and opportunities, for everyone’s benefit.

Where inequality is a thing of the past, bigotry and discrimination of any kind is not tolerated - and everyone is able to flourish.

That’s what All In is here to achieve.

Our manifesto

All In was created to continue the work of the Basingstoke branch of the Women’s Equality Party (WEP) when that party came to a close in November 2024.

We bring an equality lens to everything we do because equality is better for everyone.

Equality means better politics, more inclusive policies, a more vibrant economy, a workforce that draws on the talents of the whole population and a society that’s at ease with itself.

We do the work year round - not just at election time - to understand what our communities want and need. And then we campaign on the local issues that matter to you, as well as our equality-based campaigns that benefit everyone.

We bring a fresh, independent approach, collaborating with other willing political parties without partisanship to better serve our community.

And we are inclusive because equality makes life better for everyone.

Our objectives

We hold seven core objectives at the heart of everything we do.

Our aim is to continue work towards these on a local level whilst also taking an equality-focused approach to any and all local issues that serve our residents.

  • All In are pushing for equal representation in politics, business, industry and throughout working life.

  • All In are pressing for equal pay and equal opportunity to thrive.

  • All In are campaigning for equal parenting and caregiving and shared responsibilities at home to give everyone equal opportunities both in family life and in the workplace.

  • All In want an education system that creates equal opportunities for all children and an understanding of why this matters.

  • All In strive for equal treatment of women by and in the media.

  • All In seek an end to violence against women and girls.

  • All In will pursue equal healthcare and social care.

Taking a movement for equality forward into the future

Back in 2015, Catherine Mayer and Sandi Toksvig created the Women’s Equality Party, with a dream to do politics differently. Since the Women’s Equality Party has closed, they’ve endorsed our local moment taking the spirit of the Women’s Equality Party forward.
